The
City of the Tribes, as Galway City
is known, is a wonderful place to start your
tour. You get to sample the history of this city
that was founded by 14 families whose legacy
still lives on up to the present day. The city
lies at the mouth of the River Corrib
as it enters the Galway Bay and is
discreetly divided by narrow canals that are
frequented mainly by ducks and swans and the odd
kayaking group. |
