Day 1 |
Ennis |
|
Ennis is an ideal town to start your
cycling tour of the Burren with
interesting places to visit such as the Glor
Music Center, the Clare Museum,
the Ennis Friary and a beautiful
walking route along a part of the Fergus River
known as the Sculpture Trail.

Day 2 |
Ennis - Corrofin - Killinaboy - Carran |
|
Leaving
from Ennis, you will cycle towards
Fountain Cross, on towards Corrofin,
through Killinaboy and into the small
village of Carran which is situated in the
Heart of the Burren on the outskirts of the
Burren National Park. |

Day 3 |
Carran - Kinvara -
Kilmacduagh - CappaghKennedy
- Carran |
|
Your
journey will take you along the Moy Road
to the boating town of Kinvara. Return
via the Gortskeagh Road and stop at
Kilmacduagh, a Monastery with
ruined Churches and a well preserved
Round Tower. Then, taking the road
through Boston, you will get an
opportunity to view the Cappaghkennedy
Megalithic Tomb before returning to
Carran for the night.

Day 4 |
Carran - Corkscrew Hill - Ballyvaughan -
Fanore - Doolin |
|
From
Carran to Doolin, you have the
choice of two routes. One is via Corkscrew
Hill, on to Ballyvaughan, along
the Coast Road through Fanore
and into Doolin. The alternative is a
much easier route which takes you directly into
the Spa Town of Lisdoonvarna
then to the majestic Cliffs of Moher
and down into the lively village of Doolin
which is world renowned for it's traditional
music sessions.

Day 5 |
Doolin - Aran Islands - Doolin |
|
Taking
the Ferry from Doolin Pier, you will
journey by boat to the largest of the three
islands, Inis Mor. Here you can explore its most
famous Ring Fort, Dun Aengus
which is perched on a cliff 300ft above the
crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean,
amongst other monastic ruins scattered around
the island. You'll then return by ferry in the
evening to spend the night in Doolin.

Day 6 |
Doolin - Cliffs of Moher - Liscannor -
Lahinch |
|
Journeying from Doolin, you shall visit
the majestic Cliffs of Moher and can
take a walk out to Hag's Head. You will
then cycle on towards Liscannor and
into the surfing town of Lahinch and
relax on its beautiful beaches.

Day 7 |
Lahinch - Ennistimon - Inagh - Ennis |
|
You
will now return to Ennis via
Ennistimon with its 18th Century Seven
Arch Bridge and its Vernacular Street
Architecture, through the village of
Inagh and back to the town of Ennis
where you will stay once again before finishing
your trip.

Ennis |
|
In the
morning you will have the opportunity to shop in
the many retail stores that Ennis has to offer.
