"Dance of Desire" - The Ultimate Show! Emerald Group International - Aran Islands Direct are pleased to be able to offer
you the opportunity to avail of this Fantastic Show. We would advise you
that your visit to Ireland is not complete until you have seen Dance of
Desire!
Indeed there are other shows in Galway and indeed throughout
Ireland, however we would highly recommend that you make the time to see
Dance of Desire.
We have put together some electrifying sequences from the show for you to
watch, however the best is kept until you see the actual performance.
We would suggest that this is the perfect way to finish your day and a
beautiful way to end your tour of the Aran Islands. If you are travelling
back into Galway our driver will either arrange to drop you off at the
Theatre or we can arrange to collect you from your hotel and take you there.

A dance
musical steeped in the legends and mythical creatures of
Celtic Ireland – a world of Druids, Magical Sea
Creatures, the Salmon of Knowledge, the Sacred White
Horse, Snakes and Warriors.
It also
tells of the every day story of a young boy on the
threshold of manhood, struggling to let go of his
childhood and to take responsibility for his own life.
The show
embraces a beautiful love story of Daigh and Niamh who
can only find each other after a series of trials.
Daigh has grown up in the country. He is a dreamer and
prefers to read about heroes and legends in his native
Ireland rather than attend his studies. He would love to
dance but has never received any formal lessons. His
feet are always moving – subconsciously echoing rhythms
in his head.
He
does not have much in common with his father and
is constantly under pressure from him to get a
job. The father works hard and wants peace and
quiet when he comes home. Daigh’s constant
attempts to dance is often a source of conflict.
The mother envelopes her only child in her love,
but considers that the father has the right to
make all the decisions in the family.
