Daily coach tours to the Burren, Connemara and the Cliffs Of Moher leave from Merchants Road which is also a mere five minute walk from our house.

We are of course only minutes from the city centre where there are excellent restaurants, dancing, discos, traditional music, ballads and great pubs. The New Town Hall Theatre, luxurious EYE Cinema, 7 Screen Omniplex Cinema plus all the small theatres that Galway is famous for. Galway City is an old and romantic city. The streets are narrow and crowded, but as one native remarked,

"Who wants to rush through Galway Anyway!"

So stay a while! mingling with the antiquity, in a thriving business community, with a University, Business Colleges and Industrial complexes. The heart of Galway is a small area, with closely knit streets, with all kinds of shops. It is a good centre for art, books, craft, crystal, china and pottery, every type of handcraft and hand knitting. Two large shopping centres are just outside the city, with all major stores and supermarkets. Even Christopher Columbus called into St. Nicholas's Church, before making his momentous journey to America. This historical church was founded in 1320, contains many records of famous Galwegians. It is worth a visit. Boat and plane trips go to the Aran Islands everyday. Tickets are available at desk. There are scenic bus tours daily, through the quiet roads of Connemara or to see the wild Atlantic lashing the Cliffs of Moher. We will make reservations for guests on request, i.e. Restaurant/Theatre, Cinema and Tours. Our climate is very moderate even in winter.
