Description
Ardmor provides a unique and relaxing retreat for guests seeking four star comfort and friendly service in elegant surroundings.
Our home occupies a large site with extensive gardens overlooking Galway Bay, The Burren and the Aran Islands.

We are situated in a central location for exploring the unspoilt scenery of the western seaboard on the outskirts of Spiddal village yet only a half hour drive to Galway city.

We arrange sightseeing tours, boat trips to Aran, horse riding, fishing, golf, dinner reservations and itineraries. In the area there are good walking trails and quaint coastal villages.

Our non smoking bedrooms make a restful retreat for the weary traveller. Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated with comfortable King, Double, Twin and Family rooms

Guests are encouraged to relax in the comfortable guest lounge. Browse through the large collection of books and tourist information leaflets – an excellent opportunity to sit and exchange experiences with other guests.

Sample our award winning breakfast offering a varied combination of traditional Irish, selection of hot and cold dishes and buffet table. Bread cakes and scones are home made as are preserves made from fruits from the garden. Special diets catered for with prior notice.

We invite you to stay and experience true Irish hospitality. It is no mere coincidence that so many former guests return over and over again for an extended stay.

About Spiddal

An Spidéal, or Spiddal as it's called in English, is a small seaside village on the West coast of Ireland. Located just 12 miles West of Galway city An Spidéal is a vibrant friendly town where the people speak both Irish and English. Indeed if you visit during the summer months you will probably notice groups of teenagers who come to the village for 3 week courses to learn Irish. The signposts are all in the Irish language and you will hear it spoken in the shops, pubs and restaurants. Most people will be more than happy to teach you a couple of words if you ask.

The village is really on the Eastern boundary of the region called Connemara and as such is a good starting point for your journey into this unique part of Ireland rich in tradition and spectacular raw beauty only found in this area.

In terms of restaurants you can choose from The Cruiscin Lan Hotel, or the Boluisce Restaurant both located in the village itself or Jackie's Bistro located in the Ceardlann - Spiddal Craft Centre. There is also Padraigin's restaurant and bar by the beach in Furbo 3 mile East and Donnelly's or The Twelve in Barna village 7 miles East on the way to Galway.
